To procure goods and services from the private sector in support of maintaining and operating the town's infrastructure. The Tisbury Department of Public Works  publishes requests for quotations, invitations for bid, and requests for proposals to procure these services.  For goods and services estimated to be greater than $5000 in value and less that $25,000, requests for quotations following M.G.L. 30B procurement  regulations normally apply.   For goods and services which exceed $25,000 in value, sealed bids are solicited through the invitation for bid process.  For construction work greater than $10,000 and less than $25,000 in value, sealed bids are solicited using an invitation for bids under M.G.L. Chapter 30, 39M.  For construction work greater than $25,000 in value, sealed bids are solicited through an invitation for bid under M.G.L. Chapter 149.   All public works projects are required to follow prevailing wage laws, and statutory bonding requirements.  All invitations for bids are published in the legal section of the Cape Cod Times or the Boston Globe.
