TISBURY AMBULANCE

OUR HISTORY

Our history began in the 1970's as a volunteer ambulance squad to work along side Tisbury Patrolmen/EMTs to provide emergency medical care. we hare grown over the years from a "Basic Life Support" service to the paramedic level service we are today. We employ two full time paramedics, one full time EMT-Intermediate, several part time EMTs and approximately twenty volunteers at all levels of certification. Our growth has included nationally recognized ground breaking pilot programs and development of many of our volunteers to new careers. The service is also pleased to provide advance medical care transporting our citizens and visitors from Martha's Vineyard Hospital to appropriate off-island medical facilities. If you need non-emergency medical transport to or from home and/or off-island medical facilities, just call us! We are also proud tohave some of the only "volunteer" paramedic and intermediate EMTs in the state. We are extremely proud of all of our volunteers.  Our volunteers have been, and remain, the backbone of our service.
