Do I have to live in the same town where the affordable units are available to be eligible to apply? Not necessarily. Guidelines for eligibility and qualifications will vary depending upon what town or organization is providing the units. Check with the Regional Housing Authority for specific project information. 4. Are there rental subsidies available? If you own a home already and want to create a secondary dwelling unit to be rented affordably, there are a limited number of rental units with subsidies available through the Rental Conversion Program run by the Regional Housing Authority. 5.
